Do you know what is Tesla?
I knew, this kind of car exists, but I hadn't seen, touch, hear or smell it…

…actually you can’t hear motor or smell exhaust, this car presents only whisper of the wind or smell of leather interior... some cases smell of burning tires.))

I have not lot of experience of different cars, but must to say this test drive was really great experience!

The price of Tesla is more than 100 000€ in Finland, so there must be some features and performance, but this car made a hit!

Firstly car looks good, just right way restrained, it doesn't look too much a sport-car.

There is space for 5 persons and lot of space under rear door and bonnet.

There is no engine in front and no fuel tank rear limiting space.

How to start?

Stylish remote control

Tesla has key-less system, so you just open locks by remote control and door handles pop up, by remote control you can also open sunroof and many other things.

When you sit in the car and remote control is in your pocket you just push brake pedal and car is on, it's amazing because you don't hear starting motor or anything, it's just simple on.
Then you choose "gear" by selector (American way) from right side of steering wheel.

Just R, N and D

Then you just push the pedal (I wouldn't call it gas pedal))) and car start to move without any delays, it follows exactly your pedal with full power without any voice from motor. This is the biggest difference compared to normal cars!
Performance of car is amazing! It accelerates 0-100km/h (0-60mph) little bit over 4 seconds and torsion is unbelievable! Traction control avoid tire burning during acceleration, it was wet asphalt when I was testing the car and I felt tires were slipping a bit during strong acceleration (before traction control avoid it). Just great way!!!
Driving itself is really comfortable and like by normal automatic transmission car; without motor voice, gear changing and delays in accelerations.
There is really big touch screen display in the middle panel, where you can control and follow everything. 

Display can be shared to different parts (graphics of your driving, maps, info of batteries etc...)
...for example cameras are excellent.

The most powerful model of Tesla Model S has 416hp (310kW), torque 600Nm and top speed 210km/h. By fully charged batteries range is about 500km, then just plugged over night and enjoying continues next day.))
Usage of car is cheap! Of course there is not fuel consumption, but also services are cheaper, there are not e.g. oil and filter changes!))) Tesla guarantee batteries with unlimited kilometers for 8 years.
In Finland government supports leased Tesla by 500€/month until 2017!!!!

Okay Tesla is a great car, but price at least in Finland is unavailable for most of us!((

So if you want to protect nature environment and reduce your carbon footprint you don't have to buy Tesla just use public transports!

Wake Valley Ylöjärvi Finland

I visited my old home city Nokia. Now in Finland rises up System 2.0 cables everywhere like mushrooms.
One of them is really near my home city, so why not to check it.
Wake Valley (Peltomäki Camping) is just opened and situated to Ylöjärvi, it's about 15km from Nokia and about 200km to north from Helsinki.
Place is ideal for riding and having nice evenings with friends!! No neighbors nearby so you can play music and organize even parties without disturbing anybody. Only you should bring drinks and food with you, at the moment there is no kiosk, restaurant or bar where to buy "consumer goods".
Size of the lake is good to build even full size cable, trees around the lake work as windbreaks, private owned and owners are really positive thinking about wakeboarding. Let's see what they will find out in the future.
Same place is also camping area and there is possible to rent cottages. Cottage for 4 persons costs 58€/night (this way 14,5€ per person).
In the evenings is possible to ride by 20€ as much as you want.)) Sauna and tub normally belong to the deal)))!

At the moment they have 2 kickers and one slider. Cable is really high about 12m, so pop is really good.

Private BMX ramp

I spent one week in Finland and in my old home city Nokia. My friend Elise Kulmala told me about BMX ramp in Tesoma (Tampere), where she is going to ride.
Of course I wanted to see the ramp and some riding!

Finally winter arrived to Finland, we got some snow and temperature -16C. It is difficult to image BMX riding because of weather.

I arrived to address where ramp should be, it was some kind of small industrial zone, full of different kinds of production halls. Address was just one of these halls.
I went in and met Juho nice and friendly guy, who told that others are upstairs. Entrance was under of wall of the ramp.

I climbed up and saw big ramp, which fulfill the whole hall!!
I met Elise and Jukka Mäennenä. Jukka started to ride and I took my camera and started to shoot photos.

Like always inside halls, one big target is to touch the roof during jump.
I don't know did they touch already, but in this session we were near.

Juho Jokipolvi rented this industrial hall and built the ramp, he also lives in the same hall. There was in the one corner of hall wall and behind of wall is his home. This is just so great!! This is just what I like in life style sports and people on it, you just make everything and put all in, that you can make it. I feel familiar with these kinds of people.

Visit in Home country

I visited in my home country and home town Nokia.

Yes I know Nokia is producing also "some" mobile phones and networks, but everything started from Nokia city by rubber and paper industry and much later with mobile phones.))

If you don't know, where it's situated, maybe you know neighbouring cityTampere. It's little bit bigger and about 200km to north from Helsinki. I was just studying in Tampere University 3 days and hadn't time to do anything else.

Well yes some photo shooting only, my photos are from Tampere.

This nicely situated "cottage" is one landmark, it's old shot tower.

Another land mark of Tampere is Näsinneula the highest building in Finland. (almost 170m)

From the walking bridge of Tammerkoski you can find "Love-locks". Who ever can just fasten their lock to there and the most of them are with engraved names. Nice idea! If you feel so, bring your lock to Tampere.))

Returning back to Russia wasn't so nice! I made it by car.

There was huge queue on the border-crossing and even that I passed really unjust way about 300 cars I still spent altogether 3,5 hours in queue (( ...no Duty free shopping, I just sat in the locked car, I scared that those who I passed will beat me up.)) Queue didn't move at all!!  

Yeah next time by train!!!
